We host out of the ordinary weddings for brides looking for an authentically South African destination wedding. The opportunity to host celebrations on our farm has changed our perception of what a wedding can mean. At Acorn it feels incredibly special because of the peace and beauty that surrounds us.
Although our event spaces can cater comfortably for up to 120 guests, we take special care in setting the scene for smaller celebrations that make a big impression.
We offer complete exclusivity of the farm to our wedding guests, and the venue is yours until you are ready to call it a night (or morning).

CENTURY OLD POPLAR WOODS
There's something magical about the sound of the leaves when they rustle in the breeze, and the beauty of the rays of light that shine through the trees. The sounds of nature and silence echo the heartbeat of Acorn.
THE ‘KLIPKAPEL’
This historic sandstone barn makes time stand still and tells stories of old. This indoor option is the perfect size for a ceremony or canapes. Being right next to the reception area (the Klipskuur), it can also double as the perfect kids zone where we can arrange a nanny and games or movies.
THE STONEBARN
A wedding without cake is just a meeting. The fairy light bluestone "Klipskuur" is where everyone near and dear will raise a toast to your happiness and love. It is our largest indoor option with sufficient space for dining and dancing for up to 120 guests. It includes a bar area, serving area, a large outdoor stoep for socialising and a spacious yard, brought to life with a bonfire or a dance floor underneath the stars.

Lovebirds Rustic Bridal Suite
Our brides get special attention, and we enjoy every minute of it. Privately situated near the forest, the bridal cottage overlooks a beautiful view of the poplar woods and open fields. Savour the quiet with a romantic bubble bath, light the fireplace and enjoy the beginning of your forever.
What can you expect?
This is a down to earth self-catering unit with a small fridge, microwave, kettle and a few basic appliances, utensils and an outside braai and stoep.
The suite offers special elements such as a cosy fireplace in the bedroom, a Queen sized bed and an open plan bathroom, adjoining a small living room with a sleeper couch, kitchenette and separate shower.

Furry friends
We have pet dogs on all our premises. They are not allowed inside our facilities, but are very playful and friendly and might come say hello to newfound friends.
A bug’s life
We have open fields, woods and lots of water bodies on the farm, which is the perfect breeding ground for bugs! Please be prepared to be bugged. We provide mosquito repellent in our rooms, but if you’re allergic or sensitive to bites or stings, please bring whatever you need to use as precaution.
Best foot forward
Don’t have high hopes for your high heels! Our outdoor venue premises and surrounding areas are farmlands, fields, grass and gravel. Dress for the occasion, and the environment.
Breezy weather
Even during summer times, the weather might be surprisingly cool. Better have something warm, especially for the evenings. A famous Swedish proverb holds: There ain’t no bad weather, just the wrong clothes.
A working farm
We are a full-time working agricultural farm. The farm elements and animals will enrich your farm stay experience, but please be aware that workers and vehicles will be active during your stay.
Shared yard & playground
Although every house has its own 'kuier area', when you book the Guest House, you will be sharing the yard with the friendly owners Johan & Christelle and their 3 little girls and 3 dogs. All guests with children are invited to make use of the amazing playground in this space - we love sharing our space!
